I'm not sure what draws my eye here. The brightness of Meg is part of it. The black and white finish of this photo really suits the mood. It is like a beam of light breaking through the darkness. The leaves on the door add to the idea of something creeping up on Meg or being broken apart by her. Your vignette also supports this.
